Where Does The Whole Home System Install?
There are many variations of HVAC systems in the USA and around the world.
The Polar Air is compact enough to fit into any system that we have seen that covers over 1,000 sq. ft.
It simply installs inside your ductwork, typically magnetically attached to the blower.
NOTE: This unit has a maximum temperature of 150 degF operating temperature, meaning that it should be installed BEFORE the furnace.
The HVAC system in your home consists of various components, including the air handler, ductwork, and the outdoor unit, which is known as the condenser. The condenser is typically located outside the house and is responsible for releasing heat that’s been absorbed by the HVAC system from inside your home. It does this by using a refrigerant to transfer the heat from the indoor air to the outdoor air. The refrigerant circulates through a set of coils in the condenser, which are cooled by a fan blowing air over them. It’s a common and very understandable misconception that our Whole Home system installs on that “giant box fan” outside your home. That system though is typically what’s called a “condenser” and is only used for energy exchange, not airflow. Our Whole Home System may be installed near the air filter that you change regularly or blower inside the house, which may be located in a closet, attic, or basement. This allows the system to effectively treat the air as it flows through the HVAC system before it is distributed throughout the home.
The condenser is not directly connected to the inside air of your home. Instead, it only works to cool the refrigerant that has absorbed heat from the indoor air. This means that the outside air that’s being blown over the condenser doesn’t mix with the inside air of your home. While the condenser itself doesn’t directly affect the indoor air quality of your home, it’s an essential part of your HVAC system that helps to regulate the temperature and humidity levels inside your home. If the condenser isn’t functioning properly, it can impact the overall performance of your HVAC system, resulting in higher energy bills and reduced comfort levels.
Third Party Testing
Third-party testing indicates that devices with the Polar Ionization™ technology have proven effective at helping reduce Mold, Bacteria, PM2.5, SARS-CoV-2, E. Coli, MRSA, C. Difficil, VRE, TB (M Terrae), and more. These studies are often in controlled laboratory environments or through commercial 3rd party partners. Results will vary due to many real world variables including humidity, contamination concentrations and types, air flow, altitude, temperature, and more.
Wide Coverage
Coverage estimates are based primarily upon our 10+ years of experience with clients and their real world environment and goals. Various lab, third party, and real world studies have shown varying speed and efficacy in different room types and sizes. Recommended coverages are for average contamination levels in residential spaces. Results will vary due to many real world variables including humidity, contamination concentrations and types, air flow, altitude, temperature, and more.
