Q & A JUMPSPORT TRAMPOLINES
Frame size and type, bounce firmness, longevity, and mat style are key features to look at when deciding which JumpSport Fitness Trampoline to choose.
Popularity: While the 300 PRO Series is our most popular trampoline, what’s best for you might be different. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality products at every price point.
What frame size and type should I get?
FRAME SIZES
We offer two frame sizes, 39″ (200 & 300 series) and 44″ (400 & 500 series). The legs on all but the model 230f arch another 1.5″ outside the edge of the frame creating a footprint that is about 3″ wider than the frame size. All models are 12.5″ off the ground.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The 39″ models are the most universal trampolines for almost any size bouncer. Bouncers who prefer the 44″ model include those who want the freedom to move more, those who are taller than 6 feet, and those looking for a higher weight.
WEIGHT RATING
The 44″ trampolines can handle higher bouncer weights because they use our extra-firm EnduroLast elastic cords. All 300 and 500 series trampolines come with adjustable cords that allow the bouncer to adjust the firmness of the bounce. Be sure to confirm the weight rating of the model you are interested in meets your needs.

BOUNCER HEIGHT
This factor is fairly subjective, but we recommend that anyone over 6′ use a 44″ trampoline. Bouncers under 6′ may still prefer the 44″ model because it gives them more space to move and provides a firm and fast bounce.
FOLDING FRAMES
If you are concerned about storage, then a folding trampoline might be helpful, though it will take longer to put away and take out when you’re not using it. All of our arched leg models allow for the trampoline to stand up on edge and tuck into vertical storage areas. We offer 3 folding models (230f, 350f, 550f PRO) that help with fitting your trampoline into tight spaces.
The handle bar offers additional stability for new users or those recovering from injury. It is also ideal for off-unit exercises like stretches or using barre method. The handle bar is also strong enough for seated pull ups or a brace when doing back stretches. It can easily become part of your routine on the trampoline.
Adjusting Your EnduroLast Cords
Turn your trampoline upside down so the legs are pointed towards the ceiling.
Find the end of a cord with the knot in it.
Pinching the knot, pull the cord toward the center of the trampoline until it is thinner like a stretched rubber band.
Once stretched, move in and out of the plastic connector to adjust the knot up or down.
Alternate patterns for different knot counts and models.

PROPRIETARY ENDUROLAST™ ELASTIC CORDS
Not all bungees are made equal. Most standard bungees used by low-cost rebounders are too short and provide an overly firm or overly mushy bounce. JumpSport’s EnduroLast Elastic Cords are specially formulated to deliver an optimized bounce and handle the rigors of millions of bounces happening at fitness clubs and studios around the world. Our bounce is deep and smooth yet lively and responsive.
CUSTOMIZED BOUNCE FIRMNESS: UP TO 7 FLEXBOUNCE™ SETTINGS
The 200 and 400 Series are not adjustable. The 300 and PRO Series come with adjustable EnduroLast Elastic Cords. Our patented knot system allows the bouncer to tighten individual cords, creating different firmness levels, depending on how many or how tight each cord is adjusted. By staggering the tightness of different cords in a pattern, you can create up to 7 different firmness settings with a trampoline that uses 4-knot cords.
200 Series: Soft
300 Series: Adjustable Soft, Medium, and Firm (3 settings)
300 PRO Series: Adjustable Firm to Extra-Firm (7 settings)
400 Series: Firm
500 PRO Series: Adjustable Firm to Extra-Firm (7 settings)
FIRMNESS RECOMMENDATIONS
Some bouncers like a deeper more gradual bounce, and they will keep it on the default (softest) setting — a deeper bounce often means the bouncer has to work harder to keep up with faster tempo workouts. Some bouncers like a faster, firmer bounce and choose to tighten all of their cords or they choose a PRO model because it comes with 6 additional cords creating a firmer bounce. Note that the depth of the bounce is also dependent on the bouncer’s weight — heavier bouncers might bounce too low on a deeper bouncing trampoline while a lighter bouncer might find it is just right.
LONGEVITY
All bungees soften over time, but our system design allows you to get more life out of your EnduroLast Elastic Cords by adjusting the tension of the cords. On its default firmness setting, bounce quality is sustained for about 400,000 bounces for 39″ models and about 530,000 bounces for 44″ models. Once the trampoline reaches this point, the bouncer can simply tighten each cord by one knot and the bounce quality will return to its original feel and last approximately another 400,000 or 530,000 bounces. The same process can be repeated again at the end of this cycle to reach a total of 1.2 million or 1.6 million bounces. Note that these bounce counts are conservative estimates for average bouncers who do deep bounces every time — actual cord performance may be longer if bounces are more gentle or the bouncer is lighter.
20% STRONGER (MORE CORDS)
PRO trampolines (and the 400 Series) come with 36 EnduroLast Elastic Cords whereas the standard models come with 30 cords. Though each cord is exactly the same, the additional 6 cords provide a firmer, faster bounce that lasts longer — approximately 400,000 more bounces than the standard models. Each cord wraps around the frame in a unique way that creates 4 lengths for each cord installed — that means PRO units have 144 lengths of elastic between the frame and the mat and standard units have 120 lengths.
50% LONGER LASTING (ADJUSTABLE CORDS)
More cords and more adjustability mean your EnduroLast Cords will last longer. Over time and extended usage, your cords will naturally soften — make each cord firmer to restore the original feel of your trampoline and extend the life of your trampoline.
DOUBLE DURABLE FINISH
PRO models go through a special double powder-coating process that delivers an ultra-durable finish that fits in with any home or studio decor.
SKIRT MAT
The Skirt Mat extends the useable jumping space of the mat about four inches beyond the tensioned surface. It is a continuation of the jumping mat material and covers the connectors and the majority of the cords. All 300 and 500 Series trampolines include enhanced lay-flat nylon webbing strips that holds the skirt down and in place.
PADDED PETAL
The Padded Petal Mat extends the useable jumping space of the mat about five and a half inches beyond the tensioned surface. This extension is comprised of five overlapping independent petals that each include a 1/4″ of foam that covers the connectors and the majority of the cords. All 300 and 500 Series trampolines include enhanced lay-flat nylon webbing strips that holds the petals down and in place.
BENEFITS
The extra pads protect bouncers from feeling the connectors under the petals as much as they do with a skirt mat. As each padded petal is overlapping, there is a slight friction noise. The skirt mat is slightly lower profile, has no friction noise, but provides no additional padding. The 200 and 400 Series do not have enhanced lay-flat nylon webbing strips, but still provide similar mat extension.
JumpSport has a long history (since 1997!) of engineering the safest and highest quality trampolines at every price point. We use the best materials, including specially formulated elastic cords for performance and durability, and ensure the highest quality products as reflected in our industry-leading warranty.
The 200 Series are our lowest priced 39″ trampolines and the 400 Series is the most affordable 44″ trampolines. While these models don’t have every feature of our higher priced trampolines, they are designed to have interchangeable parts and use compatible accessories as the higher priced models. Why is this important? Upgrades over time are easy! Example: If you buy a Model 220 today, you could upgrade to adjustable cords, extra firm adjustable cords, or a more enhanced mat when the time feels right to you.
The JumpSport 200 Series fitness trampolines are designed for private, home use. The JumpSport 300 Series fitness trampolines are commercial quality and designed for professional or home use.

Elastic Bungee Cord Maintenance
If your gym is hosting regular trampoline classes, the elastic bungee cords are seeing a lot of mileage from multiple users. One of the draws of the fitness trampoline is the smooth, quiet, and supportive bounce but if the cords aren’t being taken care of, your clients aren’t getting the best experience and you could be putting strain on the mat.
Recommendation:
Check your cords at least every 3-6 months
Know when to adjust your cords. At 30-minute continuous bounce workouts, you will need to adjust the firmness of your cords after about 125 classes. Watch the How To Adjust Your Cords Video »
Replace your cords every 2 years in a commercial setting
If you’re stacking rebounders, make sure units at the top of the stack are rotated to the bottom
Replace When
Thick-thin appearance in the cord, indicating it is overly stretched
Uneven distances/length of cords around the diameter of the trampoline
Longer cords in one area (typical for trampolines where the handle is installed)
PRO Tip: rotate the position of the handle bar every few weeks so bouncers aren’t hitting one area harder than others on the trampoline
Frame & Legs
Our arched-leg rebounders were engineered to be light enough for stacking or transporting and strong enough for high weight ratings and intense exercises by multiple users in a club environment. Stacking the rebounders is a great way to save valuable space but keep the rebounders close to transition between group exercises.
Recommendation:
Keep the included allen wrench handy and tighten the legs every few month
Install Leg Bumpers to keep from scratching up the frames when stacked
Replace When
Wobbly or loosened legs and/or handle bar legs
Scratches around the edge of the frame, likely 6 areas of the frame indicating the six legs from the rebounder on top are contacting the bottom frame
Mat Care
Fitness trampoline jumping mats typically outlast the lifespan of the elastic cords. It’s important to remember, however, each bouncer/client is interacting with the mats differently. Keeping the mats clean and checking them regularly will keep them going for many years to come.
Recommendation:
Check your mat at least every 3-6 months; at the same time you check your cord
Wipe mats regularly with non-caustic cleaning wipes or warm water (mild soap) and paper towel or cleaning cloth
Replace When
Visible signs of pulling or stretching of the permatron mat fabric near the nylon edge; where the mat ends and the skirt begins
Fraying mat fabric or stitching
Silicone Feet
The silicone “rubber” feet on the bottom of the legs of JumpSport Fitness trampolines will save the gym floor from scuffing and help the rebounder grip the floor during use. If the feet are worn unevenly or get a hole in them, it may cause the rebounder to not sit flat and can cause uneven wear and tear on the elastic bungee cords.
Recommendation:
Check silicone feet every few months and keep a couple back-ups on hand
Remove the silicone feet and check the hard plastic plug. If you see cracks, then call or email us to get replacement plastic plugs and silicone feet.
Invest in a Rolling Storage Cart for easy transport of stacked rebounders without dragging them across the floor
Replace When
Uneven silicon feet or worn spots/holes in the silicon leg caps
Hard plastic plug in the foot has visible cracks
